Chief Electrical Innovation Officer

This is a senior product engineer position that involves playing a key role in the development, integration, and validation of electrical systems for medical devices.
The successful candidate will be based in Galway and will work across global teams to drive product development from design to verification.
Responsibilities:- Translate system-level requirements into electrical-based product requirements.
- Lead DFMEA development and integrate electrical design into risk management processes.
- Review electrical designs, outputs, and characterization data.
- Ensure seamless integration of electrical hardware and firmware.
- Apply best practices in PCBA design, FPGA, motor control, and custom battery development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (systems, firmware, mechanical) to troubleshoot and verify electrical systems.
- Use DFSS tools to analyze and optimize product performance.
- Validate custom test environments including hardware, software, and methods.
- Perform and document verification testing against electrical product requirements.
- Work with certified test houses to meet global regulatory standards.
- Support design transfer activities to manufacturing and product release teams.
- Act as the lead electronics expert and liaison for cross-functional partners.
- Adhere to all quality policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, including international collaboration and occasional global travel.
