Lead Veterinary Leadership Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned clinician or experienced manager to take on a strategic and clinical leadership role within a dedicated team. As a Practice Director OR Clinical Director, you will be responsible for leading with purpose, driving operational excellence, developing people, managing finance and growth, and championing clinical standards.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Practice Director or Clinical Director. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly, fair, and compassionate approach, and the ability to influence, collaborate, and confidently challenge the status quo.


Responsibilities
  • Lead with Purpose: Inspire your teams by fostering a professional, respectful, and collaborative environment.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily practice operations, including rota management, compliance, and coordination with wider leadership and support teams.
  • Develop People: Work closely with HR and Talent teams to recruit, onboard, train, and support staff, ensuring a positive, inclusive workplace.
  • Manage Finance and Growth: Monitor financial performance, control stock, and implement marketing and business development strategies to support sustainable growth.
  • Champion Clinical Standards (Clinical Director Role): Guide clinical policies, promote best practices, and support continuous professional development among the clinical team.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:


  • Proven leadership and management experience (Practice Director candidates).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in small animal veterinary practice with clinical duties, plus a strong desire to grow into a leadership role (Clinical Director candidates).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, fair, and compassionate approach.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and confidently challenge the status quo.
  • Commitment to core values and professional standards.
  • Resilience and a positive mindset to overcome challenges and drive results.
