Job Title: Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Health Care Assistant.

About the Role:

The Health Care Assistant is a key member of our multi-disciplinary team responsible for the care of our residents. They will work closely with trained nurses to provide support and guidance to maximize the independence and wellbeing of our residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Provide safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Deliver food and assist with feeding residents, returning used trays and dishes to the kitchen in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Assist with bed making and linen changes, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags, always prioritizing their dignity and comfort.
  • Work collaboratively with trained nurses to provide psychological and social support as needed, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
