We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Health and Safety initiatives. This pivotal role will oversee the implementation of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.

About the Role
  • Manage the EHS management system, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory requirements, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Construction Team to implement the Integrated Management System.
  • Evaluate site equipment to ensure it meets safety standards and is properly equipped with a Site-Specific Construction EHS Plan.
  • Become an expert in identifying and controlling High-Risk Activities (HRAs), ensuring their safe execution on-site.
  • Support the development and coordination of Risk Assessment & Method Statement processes.
  • Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to all site personnel, including subcontractors, on these procedures.
  • Verify that all subcontractors meet our prequalification protocols and assign them to projects accordingly.
  • Report and investigate incidents according to Incident Management Procedures and Notification Protocols.
  • Communicate Safety Alerts through regular Toolbox Talks.
  • Provide EHS project support and maintain relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Possession of a Health and Safety Diploma or Degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Environmental Health and Safety role.
  • Experience in construction would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Willingness to travel if required.
