Senior Site Engineer Job Overview

The role of a Senior Site Engineer involves taking ownership of the implementation of planned designs, providing setting out on site and ensuring work progresses on time.

Job Description:

  • Ensuring accurate setting out and levelling of works in accordance with drawings/specifications
  • Quality control and testing of work and materials in accordance with specification requirements
  • Work progress on time and adherence to set timelines and standards
  • Carrying out checks on works prior to and following concrete pours
  • Fulfilling Temporary Works Co-Ordinator responsibilities when required
  • Acting as the main technical advisor and supervising day-to-day operations of sub-contractors
  • Liaising with local authorities for compliance with construction regulations
  • Delivering toolbox talks on site
  • Chairing sub-committee meetings and collating end-of-project documentation

Key Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in Building Engineering, Civil/Construction Engineering or Construction
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience within the construction industry
  • 5 years' experience as Site Engineer taking ownership of setting out works
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing and monitoring sub-contractors
  • Experience in Auto CAD
  • Full, clean driving license for travel to site locations
  • Safe Pass certification
