Job Description

The Ballymascanlon Hotel and Golf Resort is a renowned establishment seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join its culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of meals in our award-winning restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Daily preparation of fresh sandwiches and soups
  • Set up for lunch and dinner according to Chef de Partie's instruction
  • Ensure that food from own station is delivered on time
  • Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure that workstations are properly sanitized according to HACCP regulation
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a kitchen assistant/commis chef and/or suitable qualification
  • Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification or current student of Culinary Arts
  • Have a passion and genuine interest in food
  • Flexibility in working hours as role includes mornings/evenings & weekends, public holidays
  • Good command of the English language
