Job Title: Data Protection Leader

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced professional to lead our data protection initiatives in Europe. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in GDPR and its application within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

The selected individual will thrive in a dynamic environment, building strong relationships across all levels of an organization. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role, as well as a high level of business acumen to effectively influence and drive change.

The successful candidate will hold a law degree, be admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 4 years in privacy-related roles. Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional languages and experience in US or multinational companies being preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead innovative data-driven strategies while ensuring compliance with European data protection laws.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate privacy risks in new initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor current and emerging data privacy regulations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Educate teams on data protection obligations under GDPR and other applicable laws.
  • Serve as the primary contact for data privacy authorities while coordinating with the business and Chief Privacy Officer.

  • Possess strong expertise in GDPR and its application within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
