Job Title: Data Protection Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned privacy expert to lead our EU data protection strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on data privacy and related issues across clinical research, commercial marketing, patient support, cybersecurity, and AI.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate privacy risks in new initiatives and projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging data privacy regulations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the implementation of privacy laws across Europe, including operationalizing GDPR requirements.
  • Educate teams on data protection obligations under GDPR and other applicable laws.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in GDPR and its application within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Able to thrive in collaborative environments and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business counsel.
  • Demonstrate high level of business acumen and influence drive change.
  • Able to take on leadership role in fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging field.

Minimum 7-10 years of legal experience, including 4 years in privacy-related roles, required. Background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related life sciences essential. Fluency in English mandatory, additional languages and experience in US or multinational companies preferred.
