
Data Protection Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in safeguarding personal data and maintaining the trust of our clients and employees.
This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with global data protection laws and regulations, and the successful candidate will contribute to data governance, provide operational support, and help strengthen awareness and accountability across the organisation.
- Data Protection Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining data protection policies, procedures and guidelines in line with GDPR, the AI Act and other applicable frameworks.
- Support the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) along with requests for rectification, erasure and other data subject rights inquiries.
- Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) for projects and new initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of processing activities (ROPA) through data inventories and mapping of data flows.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training and awareness programmes to strengthen data protection culture across the business.
- Support the management of data breaches and security incidents, including documentation and reporting to authorities where required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a data protection, privacy, compliance or governance role.
- Strong understanding of global data protection regulations, including GDPR.
- Familiarity with technology and IT security principles.
- Experience supporting multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT are highly desirable.
