Job Title: German HR Specialist

About the Role

This role involves overseeing day-to-day HR operations in Germany, dealing with various employee-related issues and ensuring compliance with local labour laws. You will be responsible for managing HR administration, handling legal cases, and drafting contracts.

You will also need to travel frequently to meet with employees, answer their queries, and provide advice on employment matters. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience as an HR Manager early in your career.

Responsibilities
  • Manage HR activities across our German bases, including payroll coordination, union meetings, and legal case management.
  • Ensure adherence to German labour law and collective agreements.
  • Liaise with management and advise on HR-related matters, such as grievances, disciplinary investigations, and legal case preparation.
  • Conduct regular reviews of payroll changes in line with German legislation.
  • Provide weekly reports to the HR Manager on all HR activities.
  • Travel to Germany for employee/union meetings and base visits as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in HR, working with German-based employees and/or German labour law.
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Relevant degree or masters in HR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
