Ecologist Role in a Multidisciplinary Setting

We are seeking a skilled Ecologist to join our team, working on high-value technical advisory services across various sectors including transport, water, energy, natural and built environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering ecological impact assessment, ecological surveys, Environmental Impact Assessment biodiversity chapters and Appropriate Assessment, as well as nature-based solutions and regenerative designs.

  • Support the delivery of ecological impact assessments, ecological surveys, and environmental assessments;
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution;
  • Work under the supervision of a lead ecologist on multidisciplinary projects;

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A postgraduate qualification (MSc) in a relevant biological or environmental science subject with an ecological component, including practical experience;
  • Demonstrated field survey experience in ecology, such as habitat classification, badger, otter, bat, bird, and invasive species surveys;
  • Familiarity with Irish and European legislation, including the Habitats Directive, Birds Directive, EIA Directive, and transposing Irish Regulations;
  • Excellent field skills, good interpersonal skills, and a keen interest and understanding of Irish wildlife;
