Mental Health Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Mental Health Activity Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. If you have excellent communication skills, a passion for supporting individuals with mental health conditions, and a good command of written and spoken English, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an engaging activity programme that enhances the quality of life for residents. Your role will involve:

  • Designing and implementing a schedule of in-house entertainment, outings, and group activities that are mentally and physically stimulating for residents.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, staff, and residents to ensure activities align with their needs and interests.
  • Coordinating external service providers with approval.
  • Gathering feedback from residents and incorporating their hobbies and interests into the activity programme.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all activities and events.
  • Providing individual engagement activities for residents who prefer not to participate in group settings.
Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above, you will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues, residents, and visitors.
  • Ensuring adherence to house rules and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Communicating with volunteers and recruiting support.
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities.
