Job Opportunity

This is a senior engineering position that offers the chance to lead the design and development of next-generation medical technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from feasibility to commercialization, while also mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical design and development of implantable devices and instruments.
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor engineer.
  • Develop design controls and ensure regulatory compliant documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and meet user needs.
  • Deliver innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs ensuring reliability and compliance with standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (Master's or PhD desirable).
  • At least 7 years of experience in medical device design and commercialization (5+ years with Master's).
  • Proven experience as a design originator/owner responsible for new product development.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD and industry drafting standards.
  • Experience bringing products through to commercial launch.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with implantable pulse generators, surgical tools, or handheld medical devices.
  • Materials science/biocompatibility knowledge.
  • Usability assessment: preclinical or clinical evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability and functional testing.
