The primary role of a Mechanical Shift Technician involves ensuring the efficient operation of industrial water treatment, ammonia refrigeration, and waste management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate industrial plant equipment, including water treatment, ammonia refrigeration, and compressed air systems
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks adhering to site procedures and regulations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Accurately record plant operations and maintenance activities using electronic data systems and Scada technology
Essential Qualifications:
  • Hold a qualified crafts-person certification in Mechanical Fitting and Welding or equivalent discipline
  • Proven experience in a particular craft discipline for at least 5 years
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core craft skills in an industrial environment
  • Able to interpret and act upon plant data to prevent potential issues
