Warehouse and Procurement Manager Role

As a seasoned warehouse and procurement professional, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and procurement activities.

This critical role is integral to maintaining the supply chain and supporting manufacturing output.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing effective warehouse management and purchasing strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Overseeing the procurement of stock, equipment, and supplies required for daily operations.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the warehouse to ensure efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate stocking, receiving, and shipping of products.
  • Coordinating with sales, aftersales, and systems departments to forecast demand and prepare purchasing plans.
  • Implementing and maintaining warehouse management systems to track inventory, orders, and deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines in all purchasing and warehouse operations.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations of suppliers and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Managing budgets for purchasing and warehouse activities and reporting to senior management on performance metrics.
  • Ensuring the warehouse operates in accordance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in warehouse management and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
  • Forklift license and all required safety courses.
  • Proficiency in modern warehouse management software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
