Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide general quantity surveying services for our wind farm, substation, and overhead projects in the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local project sites and project/site managers to ensure optimal delivery of projects
  • Report directly to the Business Unit General Manager
  • Purchase sub-contractors and prepare contract documents
  • Establish initial project budgets and maintain them on a regular basis through the life cycle of the project
  • Agree on variations for both civil and electrical works with clients
  • Prepare valuation claims based on milestone payments set up by client
  • Maintain accurate cost reporting systems and associated projections
Requirements
  • A third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience preferably in a construction environment with a civil engineering bias
  • Highly IT literate with experience of applying general/specialist packages within QS context
  • Prior experience of negotiating and interpreting conditions of contract
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with analytical and problem-solving skills to reach realistic workable solutions
