Lab Manager

We are seeking a skilled Lab Manager to lead our Biopharma department. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with laboratory experience and management skills to join our team.

  • This role involves planning, directing and implementing improvements in systems, processes and procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and quality in the laboratory.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to group leaders, scientists and project managers in laboratory operations.
  • They will assist the division director in longer term planning, business development and expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interacting with clients and business development on requests for proposals and project definition.
  • Preparing, reviewing and approving bids and proposals, scope of work and pricing.
  • Negotiating with clients on timelines and pricing.
  • Leading/directing work responsibilities of group leaders as well as prioritizing tasks and resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in laboratory management or related field (comparable to 10+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.
  • 5+ years of management responsibility.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Full understanding of laboratory requirements, ICH guidelines, USP requirements and FDA guidance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Ability to implement quality systems and process improvements.
