Job Title: Plant Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Co. Limerick.

This role involves working on plant maintenance and large-scale plant improvement projects.

  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team to ensure the optimal performance of our facilities.
  • Responsible for a specific plant process area, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Ensuring the appropriate preventative and predictive maintenance is completed, minimizing downtime and maximizing plant availability.
  • Planning major shutdowns/overhauls, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Managing contractors on specific jobs/projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Improving plant availability, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing safety and environmental standards.
  • Scoping projects that increase returns to the business, driving growth and profitability.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Should ideally possess a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in heavy industry.
  • Bring at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong technical skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Have excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Show strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, meeting project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of our organization through their work history, adding value to our business.
