Automation Systems Engineer

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar automation roles within life sciences.

  • Responsible for designing reliable and robust system architectures to meet business requirements for Process Control Systems (DCS and PLC/SCADA) and vendor packaged equipment, integrating with upstream and downstream systems such as Filling Line, Utilities, MES, Data Historian etc.
  • Coordination of design teams and automation vendors to achieve the successful implementation of site automation systems.
  • Creation, review, and approval of Automation/OT aspects of project deliverables, such as Schedules, User Requirements, Design Documents, IQ/OQ/FAT Protocols for L2 Systems ranging from Standalone Lab Equipment to Aseptic Filling Line.
  • Support qualification and validation activities.
  • Development of site procedures for administration and maintenance of all relevant systems.
  • Configure network parameters and test communication between various systems over relevant firewall ports.
  • Create system server and network requirements documentation and coordinate timely delivery with IT Department.
  • Participate in vendor and system assessments.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize plant's automation systems.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated CQV and full SDLC experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in troubleshooting PLC/DCS controllers and I/O faults.
  • Experience in OT Networks Design, Configuration, and Testing.
  • Experience in L2 - L3 System Integration Projects.
  • Excellent understanding of ISA-95, ISA-88 standards.
