Animal Health Data Manager

The successful candidate will be vital in building animal data models, working closely with Marketing, IT, and R&D leads and teams to explore the data that products upload to our data platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data models revolving around animals.
  • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification schemes.
  • Collaborate with marketing, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to identify data-related requirements and ensure alignment with animal health objectives.
  • Oversee data quality and take initiative in detecting and addressing issues or irregularities in animal health records and datasets.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation and metadata management procedures for diagnostic, research, and health-related animal data.
  • Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to maintain the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of animal health information.
  • Offer expertise and support to veterinary professionals and researchers on best practices and standards for data governance in animal health.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of proven hands-on experience working as a Data Steward, Data Manager, Data Custodian, or similar role.
  • Experience harvesting data from ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce, with a proven track record of building complex customer data models in international corporations.
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Information Systems Management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data quality, cataloging, modeling, analysis and metadata management.
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Immuta, and Data Bricks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze veterinary records and diagnostic data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
