Job Opportunity: Child Mental Health Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

As a skilled and experienced Child Mental Health Specialist, you will provide high-quality psychological services to children and families, helping them navigate complex emotional, developmental, and behavioural challenges.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify the root causes of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns in children.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary team colleagues.
  • Deliver evidence-informed individual and group-based interventions to support children's mental health and well-being.
  • Engage in collaborative goal setting, therapeutic planning, and case formulation with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology, or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist status through the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Candidates must demonstrate eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
