Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and possess a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Nursing Staff: Assist in delivering quality person-centred care to meet the needs of residents, including getting to know residents' interests and needs, providing attention, support, and companionship.
  • Promoting Mobility: Supervise and assist residents to maintain and improve mobility.
  • Personal Hygiene and Appearance: Enable and assist residents to maintain their personal appearance and hygiene while preserving dignity.
  • Eating and Drinking: Enable and assist residents to eat and drink and achieve physical comfort.
  • Social Activities: Participate in, organise, and carry out social activities to promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with residents' families and staff to develop good relationships.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Assist in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the home and contribute to the maintenance of Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Positive Attitude: A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for working with older adults are required.
