Job Description

As a Night Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during night shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service and support guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

You will also maintain overall health and safety standards at night, including conducting fire walks, security checks, and performing other relevant health and safety duties such as first aid. Additionally, you will perform front office duties, including assisting with the night audit report and facilitating guest check-in and check-out processes.

Collaboration with the Night Porters is essential, as you will oversee their nightly tasks and ensure they are fulfilled efficiently. Providing food and beverage service to guests during the night hours is also a key aspect of this role.

Supporting the team in achieving operational goals through mystery audits, customer comment indexes, quality evaluations, and adherence to hotel standards is crucial. Furthermore, aiding in the development of the Night team, preparing them for career advancement opportunities, is a significant responsibility.

Finally, contributing to the strategic operations of the hotel by providing insights and suggestions based on nightly observations and activities is a critical aspect of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar night or reception role
  • Excellent knowledge of the hotel business
  • Previous hospitality experience is essential
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Opera
  • Knowledge and experience of using the Brilliant electronic front office system
  • Excellent skills in People leadership and development
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee & delegate work to others
  • A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
