About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Channel Development Manager to join our team at Placeme Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers to promote our products and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy for targeted consultants and specifier channels.
  • Provide education and training to applicable consultants and specifier channels.
  • Maintain robust knowledge of the full offer based on products, solutions, software, and services.
  • Cross-sell the offers to existing customers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Educational background: Technical qualification, preferably at degree level in engineering.

Previous sales experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.

A strong skill set that includes:

  • Technical knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Distribution and protection experience.
  • Power quality experience.
  • Software sales experience.
  • Account management skills.
  • Cold calling and social selling experience.
  • Ability to persuade, convince, or impress others.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships.
  • Energetic, outgoing, proactive, with attention to prospecting and networking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of power systems, secure power, and industry systems.
