Job Title: Deputy ManagerA key leadership role within our childcare service, working closely with the Childcare Manager to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.This combined Early Educator and management position will require a candidate with extensive knowledge of the early years sector.The successful candidate must have the ability to combine the practitioner role with the deputy management role and take responsibility for ensuring best practice standards in our service.
  • Staff management and development.
  • Engagement and partnership with parents.
  • NCS portal management.
  • Experience working with school-aged children as well as pre-school aged children.
The ideal candidate will be required to demonstrate the ability and skills to supervise and support the staff team in curriculum planning, observations, and positive interactions with children.A minimum qualification at QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent is essential, which must be verified by the DCEDIY.Previous relevant experience in these areas is necessary, particularly management experience.The successful candidate should possess excellent communication, organisational, and motivational skills.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
  • Previous relevant experience in staff management, engagement with parents, NCS portal management, and experience working with school-aged and pre-school aged children.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and motivational skills.
