  • We seek a skilled Rail Engineering Manager to lead rail projects across Ireland and beyond.
  • This strategic role requires technical excellence, team leadership, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multi-disciplinary rail engineering projects through design and delivery stages.
  • Provide technical oversight of rail systems including track, signalling, electrification, and civil works.
  • Liaise with public and private sector clients including Irish Rail, NTA, and global stakeholders.
  • Support business development through bid preparation, client engagement, and proposal writing.
  • Evaluate compliance with local and international safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices aligned with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads across transportation, environment, and planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Railway Engineering (or related field).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • At least 10 years' experience in rail engineering, including 3+ years in a management or leadership position.
  • Proven record of delivering major rail infrastructure projects in Europe or the UK.
  • Strong understanding of railway systems design, construction, and operational integration.
  • Experience working within consultancy or client-side organisations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with BIM and digital delivery platforms.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards in transport infrastructure.
