We are seeking a technical leader to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand or remotely.

This role will focus on the delivery of resilient software systems and the evolution of our code base from C# to Rust.

As a Solution Architect/ Tech Lead you will lead and guide the design of complex systems, and ensure that early delivery and continuous improvement is possible.

You will be responsible for the internal adoption of our technical strategy and will be an active contributor to strategy formulation.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business needs and present these concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, reviewing and communicating solution architecture in collaboration with the Development teams.
  • Championing the technical strategy of Propellerhead as our key business differentiator, and aligning design and implementation of the solutions in your portfolio in line with that technical vision.
  • Setting, maintaining and communicating practices, standards and expectations covering all aspects of software delivery.
  • Developing strategies to ensure quality measures such as speed-to-value, security, reliability, maintainability, performance and functional fit for purpose.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience with the development of multi-tier and distributed applications.
  • Experience with designing solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with streaming and messaging platforms, such as Kafka or NATS.
  • Proven experience in leading the design of complex software applications.
