The role of AVI Project Manager is a senior leadership position that oversees the delivery of complex capital projects at a client site in Cork. The successful candidate will lead an internal and external team to achieve project goals, with a focus on timely completion within budget and scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead the AVI capital investment project from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost constraints, and defined objectives.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the project budget, including cash flow monitoring, resource allocation, and payment control on project milestones.
  • Resource Planning: Identify and onboard necessary resources to support project execution, leveraging global standards for project management.
  • Project Planning: Support project planning across multiple streams, developing relationships with operational leaders to understand their needs.
  • Capital Budget Management: Work with finance teams to manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to organizational guidelines.
  • AVI Implementation: Oversee the full lifecycle implementation of Automated Visual Inspection, including business case evaluation, bidding, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, and go-live.
  • Project Governance: Establish robust project governance frameworks, project charters, and steering committee reporting structures.
  • Design Execution: Execute basic design for AVI to ensure it meets business requirements, delivering an automated visual inspection solution within manufacturing processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with GxP and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Project Management Experience: 10-15 years of experience in project management, preferably in equipment installation within pharmaceuticals.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Proven track record managing project budgets exceeding €5M and multi-phase delivery schedules.
  • Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Strong background in pharmaceutical environments, with knowledge of GMP, manufacturing operations, and fill-finish processes.
  • Regulated Environment Expertise: Experience delivering projects in regulated environments using hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Project Management Certification: Preferred certification includes PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

This role requires a seasoned project manager who can deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
