Job Description

We are seeking a strategic business development professional to drive growth in the European market. This is not just a sales role, it is a stepping stone toward directorship.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building out a new business division, helping to shape its direction, client portfolio, and long-term growth strategy.

You will identify and develop partnerships with startups, scale-ups, and established companies in the food, nutrition, biotech, and specialty ingredients sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for the EU market.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new clients in precision fermentation, alternative proteins, functional ingredients, and biotech applications.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across food, nutrition, and life sciences sectors.
  • Collaborate with technical, process, and operations teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements in alignment with company goals.
  • Provide regular market insights on trends, competitors, and client needs.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in business development/sales in biotech, food ingredients, fermentation, or contract manufacturing.

Strong network in the European foodtech, biotech, and nutrition industries is required.

Knowledge of precision fermentation and downstream processes (spray drying, fluid bed drying, or related technologies) is essential.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are necessary.

Strong mindset with the ability to build and shape a business unit is required.

Ability to work independently, with flexibility to travel across Europe is a must.
