Job Description

ALONE provides direct frontline services to people aged 60 and over.

They offer an integrated system of support coordination, practical supports, support, and befriending along with various Phone Services, Social Prescribing, Housing with Support, and assistive technology.

ALONE implements support plans, providing a point of contact for access to health, social care, housing, transport, and other emerging needs through the utilization of technology and various services and activities.

These efforts aim to enhance overall physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery:
  • Deliver training online and in-person to staff and volunteers of community groups across Ireland.
  • Deliver training to community groups on-site where requested.
  • Assist in reformulating existing training for community groups to an online platform.
  • Support and Guidance:
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to community groups in setting up and coordinating services.
  • Handle and respond to training requests and referrals through the Community Forums and other referral routes.
  • Needs Assessment and Resource Allocation:
  • Identify training and support needs of community services and create a training and support plan to meet these needs.
  • Assist in other areas related to training and support delivery to community groups.
  • Relationship Building and Record Keeping:
  • Develop and build relationships with local services and agencies.
  • Keep records of training and supports delivered to community groups on Salesforce CRM.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of older people and commitment to the organization's mission.
  • Problem-solving skills, focusing on efficient needs assessment and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), fostering partnerships and negotiating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and data management systems, enhancing service efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills, with a solution-focused approach to complex challenges.
  • Keen attention to detail, enabling accurate record-keeping and effective service monitoring.
  • Enthusiasm for setting and achieving SMART targets that maximize the positive impact on older individuals.
  • Self-starter with a capacity to work well with stakeholders.
  • Must have a full clean driving license and own transport.

A background in older people-related fields is not required; however, a strong alignment with the organization's mission and the ability to efficiently coordinate services and address challenges faced by older people are essential.
