Job Description:
As a Nurse Specialist for Adults with Disabilities, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality support services to adults with intellectual disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide individualized nursing care to adults with intellectual disabilities, addressing their unique health needs and promoting optimal well-being.
- To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that enhance the quality of life for individuals in our care.
- To engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices, research, and emerging trends in adult disability care.
Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* Valid manual driving license
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively, think critically, and prioritize tasks effectively
* Passion for promoting the rights, dignity, and autonomy of individuals with intellectual disabilities
