Experienced Daytime Kitchen Manager Opportunity

We are delighted to partner with a well-established and vibrant coffee shop in Ireland to recruit an experienced Day-Time Sous Chef.

About the Role
  • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen management.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high standards.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff during peak hours.
  • Support menu planning and contribute creative ideas.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure proper food storage.

This is a daytime role with excellent hours compared to traditional hospitality positions. The client is a popular and growing coffee shop known for its fresh, seasonal menus, exceptional customer service, and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Kitchen Operations: Assist the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen activities.
  2. Food Quality: Ensure consistency in food presentation and quality.
  3. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to deliver smooth service.
  4. Menu Development: Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and support menu planning.
  5. Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper food storage and rotation.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie background.
  • Experience in a café, bistro, or high-volume casual dining setting preferred.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal, and high-quality food.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
