Role Overview

This highly technical position requires a skilled professional to provide primary support for all trading, operational, and market data systems.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems in a high-pressure, live trading environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • System and Application Support: Provide support to trading desks and development teams, ensuring the smooth operation of all trading and operational systems.
  • System Maintenance and Deployment: Manage the deployment of new software releases and upgrades, ensuring successful integration into the trading environment.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Monitor all systems and alerts to maintain uptime during market hours. Evaluate and improve existing monitoring systems and tools.
  • Batch Environment Management: Maintain and develop batch scheduling system to ensure the successful completion of required jobs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively evaluate and improve support procedures, developing and implementing tools to streamline processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience/RequirementsQualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in a production support role, preferably within a complex systems environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networked application systems, including Windows, Unix servers, and databases.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues by analyzing log files and system logic.
  • Experience with complex software deployments and batch scheduling systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Unix Shell, SQL, or Windows Batch).
  • Financial trading environment experience is a plus but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
