We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity is part of an award-winning organization based in Cork, where you will have the chance to work with a leading multinational company.

  • As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the ownership and effective planning of continuous improvement projects to enhance and improve processes through lean manufacturing principles.
  • You will participate in equipment qualification processes, including drafting associated operational SOPs.
  • You will lead and participate in problem-solving teams across various areas, such as reliability, safety, quality, and maintenance.
  • You will lead and close process-related deviations and reports.
  • You will support the Operations team in delivering on specific area Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as EHS metrics, production plan, OEE, compliance, and team training.
  • You will provide frontline technical EHS support and coaching to the operational team and serve as the first point of contact for safety-related concerns.
  • You will author, execute, oversee, and approve protocols and reports as appropriate.
  • You will ensure the highest standards of Quality, Compliance, and Safety.
  • You will participate in and comply with the MSD Manufacturing Division Quality Management Systems requirements.
  • You will provide ongoing coaching and support to cross-functional team members to share process, engineering, and maintenance best practices.
  • You will implement and support reliability equipment initiatives.

In order to succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Level 8 honours degree in a science, engineering, or manufacturing discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment in a technical or manufacturing support role.
