Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Packaging Department, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing significant process improvements to existing production lines, enhancing the productivity of our Business Unit.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify equipment performance issues and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence. Additionally, they will support our Project Team in respect to New Product Introduction and set-up of processes to meet required timelines.

Candidates should have a strong background in Engineering and experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments. Preferably, they will possess a Lean Six Sigma Qualification and proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to our Packaging Business Unit.
  • Identify and implement cost-justified process and equipment improvements.
  • Identify and eliminate repetitious machine failures.
  • Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools and data to drive continuous improvement, manage and communicate progress on Improvement Projects.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement improvements under change control.
  • Support introduction of processes for NPIs.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3rd level qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities – able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate action.
  • Lean Six Sigma Qualification (an advantage).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
