Job Role: Test Assurance Specialist

Contract Duration:

6 month contract.

Work Arrangement:

Dublin city centre/Hybrid.

 

Our high profile client is actively seeking an experienced test assurance specialist to join the quality assurance team. The ideal candidate must have demonstrable and proven recent test experience working in the financial services industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce structured test plans based on functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the system's functionality.
  • Develop and execute a wide range of test cases for System, UAT, Regression, and Service Oriented testing (both automated and manual).
  • Document, analyse, and compare documents to identify areas for improvement.
  • Execute and record the results of test cases, tracking progress and reporting to Team Lead with regular updates.
  • Raise and track defects, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure that quality standards are consistently met across all phases of the project.
  • Contribute to the development of process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in QA and software testing.
  • Previous experience working in the financial services industry is essential.
  • Experience in testing Batch and Online Transaction Processing systems would be beneficial.
  • A strong track record of successful delivery of QA objectives and targets in a remote working environment.
  • Proficiency in interrogating SQL server databases and developing complex SQL queries is required.
  • Experience with bug and issue management tools such as JIRA is necessary.
  • Knowledge of test case management tools including Test Rail is highly desirable.
