
Insurance Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Account Development Representative role in Commercial Insurance. As an industry leader, we offer a dynamic organization where you can develop your career and contribute to business growth.
This position requires applicants to be legally authorized to work in Canada. We cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, access corporate and on-the-job training, and support their personal and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing existing clients' portfolios within the risk management group under the direction of the Account Executive.
- Identifying specific client risk exposures and managing the client renewal process by collaborating with all members of the client service team.
- Receiving and processing client requests, reviewing documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, or cancellations.
- Preparing client service summaries, program reports, and managing client accounts receivables.
- Assisting with establishing account-specific service plans and delivery approaches that support coverage solutions.
- Responding to inquiries from clients on policy coverages under the direction of the Account Executive as required.
- Assisting clients with interpretation of insurance clauses within contracts/agreements.
- Exploring opportunities for expanded Aon products or services with clients.
- Working with two or more Account Executives as required.
- Assisting Account Executives in new business initiatives through tasks such as coordinating dissemination of marketing material, prompting regular contact with prospects, and assisting in developing new business strategies and account penetration.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of commercial insurance experience is required.
- Level 1 licence is required; Level 2 license preferred or working towards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven success working collaboratively within a successful team and also working independently with minimum supervision when appropriate.
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills, and the proven ability to multi-task.
- Proven track record of prioritizing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office package.
