Digital Marketing Lead Job Description Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a results-driven digital marketing strategy to support fundraising, engagement, and awareness goals aligned with current trends and opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators, track performance across all channels, and deliver actionable insights through regular reporting.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with impact.
  • Plan, test, and optimize paid social media campaigns targeting the right audiences with effective messaging across key platforms.
  • Deliver segmented, personalized email campaigns to supporters and donors, continuously improving relevance and performance.
  • Oversee and optimize the website, using analytics to boost user experience, supporter conversion, and donation outcomes.
  • Implement practical search engine optimization strategies to increase visibility and support income across campaigns, services, and fundraising.
  • Maximize online shop revenue in collaboration with fundraising teams, while fostering a culture of analysis and ongoing improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a digital marketing role, ideally with direct response marketing experience within the not-for-profit or purpose-led sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital strategy, campaign planning, and multi-channel delivery.
  • Experience managing or collaborating on website content and development.
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them.
  • Experience running email marketing campaigns, ideally using segmentation or automation tools.
  • A solid grasp on how e-commerce platforms work and how to increase online sales.
  • Experience running social media ad campaigns and confidence in using analytics platforms.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to consider a reduced working week for the right candidate.
