Our esteemed care home in North Dublin is seeking a seasoned and accomplished Director of Nursing to spearhead its operations. As the DON, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled nursing staff and delivering exceptional resident care.
About the Role:- Oversee the delivery of high-quality resident care, promoting a person-centered approach and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Manage an enthusiastic team, fostering their growth and potential, through internal audits and reporting on key performance indicators.
- Conduct comprehensive inductions for new staff and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Encourage innovative practice and facilitate effective decision-making within the team.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Nursing Management position, focusing on the care of the elderly within the past 6 years.
- Post-registration management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum) and current registration with NMBI.
- Demonstrated clinical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of HIQA standards, regulations, and relevant healthcare legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proven track record in decision-making ability.
- Qualification in Gerontology is desirable.
