Job Description\

As a seasoned retail professional, you will be responsible for the overall performance of a large, multi-level retail store. This includes leading and managing a team of approximately 20 staff members, driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the store.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach. They will also be well-organised, capable of managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working with KPIs, rotas, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in managing and leading a team of staff members\
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the store\
  • Drive store sales and meet performance targets\
  • Oversee stock control, deliveries, and floor merchandising\
  • Manage store operations including cash handling, staffing rotas, and compliance\
  • Support community engagement through in-store events and local outreach\
  • Report to Head Office and ensure policies and procedures are followed\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a retail management role\
  • Strong leadership and team development skills\
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills\
  • Well-organised and capable of managing multiple priorities\
  • Comfortable working with KPIs, rotas, and budgets\
  • A background or interest in books, gifting, or lifestyle retail is beneficial\
