Refuge Manager

Cope Galway is seeking a Refuge Manager to lead our Domestic Abuse Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the refuge, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams in a trauma-informed approach, with a strong understanding of domestic abuse legislation and issues. They will also possess excellent communication skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the staff team in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Manage the allocation of team resources, ensuring correct staffing levels at all times.
  • Monitor and manage the rostering of staff, ensuring compliance with working time and health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Consult and liaise with external agencies, as appropriate.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years leading teams in a trauma-informed approach.
  • Third-level degree in Social Care or relevant equivalent.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current domestic abuse legislation and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
