Project Planning Professional

We are seeking an experienced project planning professional to assist our estimating and construction teams in the preparation of programmes, planning procedures, site logistical layouts, progress monitoring, and reporting throughout a project's life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality programmes that meet client expectations within allocated time frames and project deadlines.
  • Carrying out technical appraisals of tender documents, investigating implications affecting projects, and requesting information.
  • Liaising with tendering teams to ensure compliant bids in line with employer and tender requirements.
  • Providing technical support to estimating departments and construction teams as needed.
  • Developing work packages programmes to define installation tasks and proposing logical sequences for internal and client presentations.
  • Tracking project progress against master programmes and budgets, and developing recovery plans for off-schedule eventualities.
  • Establishing, communicating, tracking, and reporting site installation progress, and assisting in contractors reports as assigned by project managers.
  • Participating in project meetings, revising construction programmes based on conclusions, and advising project teams on implications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Construction or engineering-related degree.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role with a main contractor or engineering consulting firm.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer software such as Primavera, MS Project, ASTA Power Project, etc.
  • Solid working knowledge of other software and window-based packages including AutoCad, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software and BIM experience is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in tender and contract stages of projects.
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
