National Operations Excellence Lead

This role is a key part of our operations team, responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of our assets across the country.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the National Operations Management Centre (NOMC), ensuring delivery of outputs and objectives. This includes managing and conducting performance management and people management processes within the team, as well as managing the resourcing within the team to ensure adequate capacity and skills/expertise to meet business requirements.
They will also be responsible for developing and implementing an alarm and events management philosophy for Asset Operations, working closely with all stakeholders. Additionally, they will provide leadership and commitment to the NOMC and other relevant programs and initiatives that will yield increased coverage and provide value to the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the NOMC
- Developing and implementing an alarm and events management philosophy
- Providing leadership and commitment to the NOMC and other relevant programs and initiatives
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required. Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
Deep technical knowledge of Telemetry systems, alarm management and SCADA systems is essential. Strong computing, IT and reporting skills, with knowledge and experience in Excel, SharePoint, Power BI and databases preferred.
Excellent relationship and client handling skills with the ability to foster good relationships with internal and external customers either remotely or in person are also required.
