Job Overview

The position of Senior Manager of Employee Relations plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment within the EMEA region. This leadership role oversees the Employee Relations and HR Operations function, ensuring seamless execution of employee experience initiatives, operational excellence, and compliance across 23 countries.

  • Lead regional teams to achieve annual goals and progress strategic ER roadmaps.
  • Act as trusted advisor for employees and management across the region, providing guidance on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, identifying and assessing misconduct, and partnering with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Develop effective strategies to handle employee relations issues, minimizing corporate risk and improving employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and labor compliance in all jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Leadership: Drive regional Employee Relations and HR Operations teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, develop, and motivate team members to excel in their roles, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and feedback for success.
  • Investigations and Resolution: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, providing timely, fair, and balanced resolutions.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, processes, and programs that promote operational excellence and minimize risk.
  • Culture of Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation, driving change, and promoting employee engagement and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Strong Employee Relations background, with increasing responsibility in Human Resources, focusing on people management and employee advocacy.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive results through influencing others, without authority over them, including with HR and Business Leaders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading complex projects and organizational change, driving operational excellence and improved employee experience.
  • Ability to travel, on a limited basis, as needed (15%).
