Equipment Installation and Service Technician

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Installation and Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting advanced food production equipment used worldwide.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the growth of a high-tech industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and electrical knowledge, as well as experience working with industrial equipment in field service or manufacturing.

The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to travel extensively (60–80%) and work out of hours/weekends as required. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.

  • Installing, commissioning, and supporting advanced food production equipment
  • Maintaining service records and collaborating with technical teams
  • Delivering technical support both remotely and on-site
  • Training customer teams on equipment operation and care

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based in Ireland, with regular travel to food factories and other locations throughout the country. You will be working with a range of advanced food production equipment, including X-ray, slicing, weighing, washing, and other systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong electrical knowledge (3-phase systems, motor/control panel wiring)
  • Experience with industrial equipment in field service or manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively (60–80%)
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (Company van provided)
