Job Description:

We seek a seasoned professional to lead our data architecture efforts.

This role will focus on designing and implementing strategic, state-of-the-art data solutions within the organization’s data governance framework.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data architecture principles and a proven track record of developing large-scale data models that cater to multiple business lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design modern, scalable data architectures using cloud-based solutions
  • Develop conceptual, logical, physical models, establish and enforce data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices
  • Lead integration efforts across multiple data sources, including transactional systems, APIs, data lakes, and streaming data
  • Determine database structural requirements by analyzing business needs, applications, and data from existing systems
  • Participate in requirement engineering and working groups, collaborating with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists, and governance teams
  • Incorporate data standards and implement governance models
  • Develop data flows, ownership matrices, and data lineage
  • Implement physical data models, contribute to system and operational design, and carry out optimization for usability and performance
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Develop architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level
  • Design and maintain the blueprint of the information architecture, data integrations, and controls aligned to the renewed business strategy

Qualifications:

  • Significant hands-on experience in Data Architecture, Data Science, and/or Data Modeling expertise
  • Hands-on experience in Hive, Hadoop, Impala, Tableau, Kafka, BI Tools, Scala, highly preferred
  • Good knowledge of relational/OLTP/OLAP/Big Data concepts
  • Good knowledge of modeling and architecture tools such as Magic Draw, Erwin, etc.
  • Experience in modeling and building complex IT systems
  • Expertise in Data Management methodologies involving architecture, modeling, storage, security
  • Good understanding of data governance - defining strategy, developing goals, principles, and policies
  • Prior experience in data integration, interoperability, and data quality solutions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience in financial services, especially the securities market
  • Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred, Certification in Data Architecture/Modeling is a plus
