Postdoctoral Researcher in Climate Change Impact Evaluation

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of an impact evaluation for the ACACIA project.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing a randomized controlled trial to assess the effectiveness of climate adaptation strategies.
- They will work closely with Dr. Thomas K.J. McDermott and external collaborators to achieve project milestones.
- Conducting research on the economics of climate adaptation and risk, including data analysis and fieldwork in Madagascar.
- Contributing to the writing of scientific papers and reports for international journals and progress reporting to project stakeholders.
- Engaging with project partners, including the Malagasy Red Cross, to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Presenting research findings at conferences and workshops as required.
- PhD in Economics or a related field, with advanced quantitative methodological knowledge and/or experience.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English, with a record of publishing in high-quality journals.
- Field research experience and willingness to conduct fieldwork in challenging environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
