Business Development Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts and drive growth. This exciting opportunity involves proactively hunting for group opportunities across the MICE and leisure segments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the MICE market and corporate travel, with a proven track record of finding and winning new business. They will also possess excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills, as well as confident presentation and communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business, building relationships with event planners and corporates, and delivering engaging site visits and proposals that turn prospects into loyal clients. They will also collaborate with Sales & Marketing to smash revenue targets and spot new opportunities, while staying ahead of trends and competitor moves.

In addition, they will be responsible for delivering client excellence, being the go-to contact for groups, ensuring a seamless, personalised experience. They will also network and represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events, working cross-functionally with marketing, revenue, and operations to design standout group packages.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a proactive sales role within the hospitality industry, with good experience of a variety of CRM/Sales platforms. They will also be familiar with digital tools and smart reporting, using them to streamline workflows and track success.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a proactive sales role within the hospitality industry.
  • A proven track record of finding and winning new business and meeting all sales targets and goals.
  • A strong understanding of the MICE market and corporate travel.
  • Good experience of a variety of CRM/Sales platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
  • Confident presentation and communication abilities.
