As a Data Science Manager, you will lead our effort to disrupt the status quo and drive impactful business results across the global organization through advanced data science techniques.
Job SummaryOur Global Fraud Prevention Team addresses financial loss by identifying fraudulent transactions in real-time using state-of-the-art technology. You will oversee the development and implementation of strategies that drive business growth and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and guide a team of data scientists in developing and executing fraud prevention strategies through advanced detection models and algorithms.
- Own a business domain and lead data-driven risk management strategies to support our global business objectives.
- Track and evaluate the performance of fraud detection systems against key KPIs and business goals, ensuring alignment with broader organizational priorities.
- Tackle complex, ambiguous business problems on the fraud domain, driving the planning and execution of long-term projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to create scalable, secure, and innovative products that enhance the experience for our customers.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure fraud risk management efforts are aligned with overall company objectives.
- Stay informed on emerging fraud trends, techniques, and technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously evolve and strengthen our fraud prevention capabilities.
You need to bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent), with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience in a related field.
- Experience working in the fraud domain, with a demonstrated ability to take personal ownership of complex challenges.
- A quick thinker with a fast learning ability, broad general knowledge, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication and soft skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to executive leadership.
