Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in a dynamic finance team, focusing on accounting operations and financial management.

The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of VAT, RCT, and Irish tax legislation.

  • Process invoices and manage supplier payments, customer billing, and reconciliations.
  • Manage RCT submissions and ensure compliance with Revenue regulations.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Set up contracts and manage payment structures for sub-contractors in compliance with Irish tax law.
  • Support monthly payroll processing using payroll software.
  • Use QuickBooks daily for recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and generating financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports, and cash flow statements for review by external Accountant.
  • Support year-end audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors.

Candidates should possess a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role, ideally within an SME environment.

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA or Part-Qualified working through exams.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting platforms.
  • Familiarity with RCT, VAT, and Irish tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
